Myths Believed by The Right

Maybe I am too harsh to the left. I wrote so many articles ridiculing the left, like their believe that "even the worse peace is better than war", and "the hunter gatherer society is the happiest society" etc.  I was neither right nor left, I consider myself to be a centrist. I criticized the left so much because I was a leftist during my high school and college days. So, to balance those criticism to the left, here are the myths believed by conservatives and libertarians. 

Selfishness is good! Greed is good! Ayn Rand is a prophet!

First, let me simplify it. I call selfishness-greed duo as DOUCHEBAGGERY. Sorry to interrupt your party, but as far as I know, Stalin is a total douchebag, so does so many monster. If you still miss my point, their douchebaggery KILL! Douchebaggery NOT always the way for the betterment of the society. Ayn Rand's argument in essence is argumentum ad ignorantiam, an argument based on ignorance to that fact. I don't ge t it why a "great thinker" could miss this fact. Grow up and accept that. 

Universal Health care is evil socialism!
As far as I know, liberal democracy is about the equality of chance. That is what universal health care do, giving everyone the chance to survive a health problem. It is an instrument of freedom, freedom to live to be precise.

Those who govern least govern best! -> Government can do no right

Huh? By that standard the government of Somalia is the best government. You really want to live in a country like Somalia? 

... except when the Government meddle your religion!

This position actually contradict the previous myth. To their credit, libertarians don't believe this myth. But the conservatives do! They believe the government's duty is to enforce religious laws! That means, they spit on secularism. They always think the church and the state can't be separated.
Folks, that means mixing religion and politicians. You forget how bloody and dirty those hands of the politicians are? Please, give your religion a favor, keep them away from the politicians. I am sure you believe that religion is sacred, so keep those profane politicians as far as possible from religion. 
Lastly, the funniest thing is, using this standard and previous one, the government of Somalia is STILL the best government.

... and when we want to discriminate homosexuals!
C'MON!! Are you kidding me? You want government out of your way but you expect them to regulate its citizens sexlife? You can't be more incoherent than that! Oh yeah, sorry, I forgot, I talked about  rednecks, and religious bigots, they throw out logic and science years ago. And speaking about science ...


Evolution is only a theory!

Yes, evolution is a theory, yes we never "observed evolution process directly" SO DOES HELIOCENTRISM!! Do you think we have a camera that shoot how the earth revolve around the sun? No, scientist prove heliocentrism by INDIRECT observation, by calculating so many different things and phenomenas on earth and drawing the conclusion from it! Just like they prove evolution, by comparing current animals, some of their ancestors, etc. 
On the other hand "creationism" or "intelligent design" or whatever its name now IS NOT a scientific theory, and never will be! How can you build a scientific theory based on an omnipotent-omniscient entity? Answer: YOU CAN'T ! So please, teach "Intelligent design" ONLY in the religious education class NOT in a biology class.
Only religious wingnut believe this nonsense. Unfortunately, all religious wingnuts come from the right. Luckily, NOT ALL conservatives and libertarian believe this nonsense. The educated one, those who understand the different between "science" and "pseudo-science" already accepted evolution as the valid foundation of biology. But since a right-winger won't win a right-wing contest when he chooses evolution over creation, I put this myth on the list.

Protecting the nature = handicapping the business!
I admit the tree-huggers often sputtered nonsense, based on their emotions, not on science. But please, you can't change the fact that we live on earth, destroying the environment is suicidal. Grow up, you and your children need environmental protection as much as those tree-huggers and their children do.
