Angry mobs surrounded and stormed US embassy and consulate in Cairo and Benghazi. Their reason to be enraged? They believe a US movie maker insulted prophet Muhammad SAW. They are offended! (Big gasp.) This echoes another previous incident like the Danish cartoon controversies, the assasination of Theo van Gogh, and so many other incidents. Offending Muslims is a dangerous business!
First ... dear Muslims, your fury IS NOT HELPING your cause! If you really want to show the world how unhappy you are, there are THOUSANDS better ways to do it. Write a piece to a newspaper! Write a blog! Reacting with violence only strengthened prejudice to your religion. Here is a joke to illustrate it:
Villager 1: Argh, I can't believe it! I was just back from the village across the river. There I heard their people said that our village is full with barbarous thugs!!
Villager 2: What? That is not true! You explained to them that we are friendly people right?
Villager 1: Of course! I whacked 2 of them with my machete! How dare they insulted our village! That would teach them to respect our village!
Villager 2: (Facepalm.)
Second ... feeling offended NEVER give you the right to kill or vandalized ANYONE. Wake up! YOU are NOT the center of the universe! EVERYONE feel OFFENDED by MANY THINGS, that doesn't gives ANYONE the right to ransack or burn or kill anything! Grow up please, you are an adult who has emotional capability NOT to do violence! If you want to be respected, you have to show that you really DESERVE that respect!
