The Most Badass Movies

I have seen some movies. Some movies are more badass than the others. Here are some of the most badass movies I have ever watched:

Commando (1985)
Directed by: Mark L. Lester
A classic from Arnie. Who cares about the plot. Who cares about the characters. If you really want to got Schadenfreude, seeing hundreds of goons slaughtered by a one-man-army, you have to see this movie!

Black Hawk Down (2001)
Directed by: Ridley Scott
When I heard about "The Battle of Mogadishu" for the first time, I wonder why no Holywood movie was made to depict it. Amazingly, 3 months later they launch this movie. What a movie! This movie really kicks serious ass by depicting the battle almost non-stop, almost from the very beginning until the last second. Watch it.

Wasabi (2001)
Directed by: Gérard Krawczyk
This is a French movie about Jean Reno protecting his Japanese daughters and because of that, he slaughters all yakuzas in Tokyo. Nuff said.

Shoot'em Up (2007)
Directed by: Michael Davis
Do you like Hongkong action movie? Do you love over-the-top action like in the Matrix trilogy? Do you got a huge boner everytime a kick-ass protagonist slaughters hundreds and hundreds of goons? Then Shoot'em Up is a true porn for you.

Taken (2008)
Directed by: Pierre Morel
This is a French movie about Liam Neeson slaughters half of Paris. Nuff said ....

Punisher: War Zone (2008)
Directed by: Lexi Alexander
The Punisher is my favorite comic-book characters. He makes sure every single criminal that crossed his way pays. Usually with their life. And this is not about the payment, but HOW they paid. I recommend the Punisher MAX series from Garth Ennis, especially "The Enslaver" series. I am ecstatic when I heard they made this movie. I have a very high hope and this movie really exceeded it.  When I saw this movie in the theatre, even before its credits rolled, I know I have to watch this in the theatre at least one more time! Watch it, and see how Frank Castle deals with monsters from our underworld.

The Expendables (2010)
Directed by: Silvester Stallone
Silvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis in one scene? Jet Li, Jason Statham Randy Couture, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dolph Lundgren as its supporting characters? This man is so manly that I almost die of testosterone poisoning in the theatre.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2012)
Directed by: Neveldine/Taylor
A perfect movie ... I already wrote a separate review about it.

That is all for now. Tell me if I miss any badass movie.

Hukuman Mati

Saya sih takkan mau membayar uang tebusan.

My 10 Commandments

This is my personal 10 commandments:

1) Genocide is evil
Seriously, why this one is never mentioned by any Abarahamic religion? Oh yeah, because God repeatedly perform and order genocides. Noah's flood, Sodom & Gomorrah, the Amalekites, the Midianes, the Philistines, etc. They all deserved to die!

2) Worship/don't worship whomever you want
Why the hell "religious freedom" is never mentioned either? Oh yeah, same with above, because God repeatedly order the slaughter of other religion followers, and the destruction of His "competitor's" temple.

3) The main point of education is how to think, NOT what to memorize
A thinking person will know what kind of knowledge they need. A knowledgable people without the ability to think won't be of much use.

4) Open yourself to criticism & judgment
Face it. You are not infallible. You are only a mere mortal who can make very stupid mistakes. Let other criticize, scrutinize, and judge you. This is the basic, most fundamental novelty of democracy. Everyone criticize everybody. Whenever you see anyone who suddenly said his words will never ever false, watch out! They are God wannabe. They are addicted to power or money or prestige or all of them. See commandments #8 for further detail.

5) Trust is very important!
Keep your oath & promise, tell the truth! Also, automatically: don't make/take impossible promise or oath. Other than oath & promise, lying will also undermines trust.

6) Respect the nature
Hey, you live on planet earth. If you screwed it, you are screwed too.

7) Other people's sexlife is NONE of my business, with exception to paedophilia & rape. Those 2 were prohibited.
Yup, you don't have the right to control other people's sexlife. Paedophilia is still wrong because a child doesn't have any clue about it, so it is basically an exploitation. Rape is wrong because it basically the violation of other people's sexlife. I don't put bestiality, necrophilia, or any other "deranged" sexual act since they actually harm nobody per se. How about incest? Hey, nobody needs to be told about that, right? We have the "Westermack effect" to avoid that. In any case of violation, it is still none of my business.

8) Always remember that money, power, and prestige are tools to achieve something.
Only a fool used "Tools collection" as their purpose of life. Nevertheless, since so many people forget/don't know that those 3 things are tools, I think I need to remind all of you.

9) Do not kill!
I put this commandment at the near-bottom because I am never a big fan of the abolition of capital punishment. There are many exception of this rule. It sucks, but, what can I say other than c'est la vie, we live in an imperfect world.

10) Slavery is evil
Nobody do slavery anymore. But it is amazing since only Zoroastrianism prohibits it outright, while other religions taken it for granted. I put this in the commandment only to remind you all that most religions are very backward morally.

So, did I miss anything?

God Bless America Review

**MINOR SPOILER!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!**

I just finish watching "God Bless America."

What a watch!

This is the most politically incorrect movie I have ever watch. Profanity, graphic violence, outright brutality, this movie got them all! But wait! That is not the pinnacle of the "political incorrectness" of this movie! The pinnacle is, the insults to both the left and the right! Yup, you read it right, I think this movie insult both the right and the left. I will come back to this point later. First, I want to give you a quick summary about the movie.

It is a movie about a man, named Frank Murdoch who is pissed off by the current American society. He was pissed off by the rudeness, the shallowness, the stupidity, the fear-mongering, the lack of decency, and many other aspect of modern Americans. Even his own daughter reflected everything he hates in modern America. He is a man who despised his society, trying to be nicer, to be above his screwed up society. Unfortunately, his kindness to the receptionist in his office was misunderstood. He lost his job because of this. The last straw is the news from his indifferent foul-mouthed physician who informed him that he got a terminal and inoperable brain tumor. That's it, life was too sucks to be continued. He tried to kill himself ... but suddenly he got an epiphany when he remembered a spoiled teenager who starred in her own reality show threw a tantrum during her show. He thought that the world won't miss that brat.

Despite his clumsiness, he finally killed the spoiled brat ... only to be witnessed by her schoolmate who thought "That is the best thing that happens in my life!" That schoolmate introduced herself as "Roxy." She convinced the suicidal Frank by telling him that there are so many worthless humans who are deserved to die, so he killed the wrong man if he took his own life. Most part of this movie happened after that "epiphany," portraying Frank & Roxy killing spree.

Now, let's get back to the political incorrectness of this movie: the insult to the right and the left.

The insult to the conservative-right-wingers is straightforward. The movie portrayed many from the right (Tea Party demonstrators, right-wing pundits, etc) unsympathetically, by showing their inconsideration, their fear-mongering, their rudeness, etc. The movie also showed their slaughter in Frank's and Roxy's hands. That's why so many people mistakenly judged this movie as a pro-liberal propaganda.

The insult to the left come in far more subtle and clever way: in form of the character Roxy. She is a true liberal-left-winger who believed that this world will be better if many of the vocal right-winger just drop dead. She is the one who inspired Frank to start the killing spree. She also stated it clearly during the funniest scene of this movie: the murder of the right-wing pundit. Although Frank agree with some of the pundit's political rant, he still shot the pundit because he was so mean. On the other hand, Roxy shot him because she hates his political opinion. Then this dialog (not verbatim) occurred :

Roxy: Seriously? Which part of his political opinion you agree with?
Frank: Less gun control of course!
Roxy: But Frank, then evey nut would have a gun!

That's right, this movie actually portrayed a left-winger as a psychotic-naive-hypocritical girl! Oh yeah, Roxy also DEFINITELY sexually attracted to Frank, while Frank's decency made sure he never going anywhere near the line. And the funny thing is, when I visit imdb forum page of this movie, I don't see any liberal saying "This is an insult to the left. We disagree with the right but making a movie about their massacre is just wrong!" I suspect many liberals got some Schadenfreude watching the massacre. Some even went further. Some of them defend the slaughters. Can you imagine that? Liberals defend some psychotic murderers who used gun-violence to solve their problem? Wow ... this movie even generate ironic moments outside itself!

In essence, this movie criticizes the degradation of American society, the right, and the left mercilessly, and cleverly. Then, it provokes the left to defend their hypocrisy. It is dark, ironic comedy at its best. That's what make me laugh so hard during and after watching it. That's what make me love it so much.

Final verdict : 90 out of 100. But don't watch it if dark humor and graphic violence offends you.
